Gregg Zaire
LIBERTIVA CONSULTANT AND FACILITATOR
Gregg brings over 25 years of experience working in partnership with private and public institutions to improve outcomes and advance opportunities for vulnerable populations. He supports organizations to identify root causes of disparity and develop responses to dismantle barriers that underpin inequity. His extensive background leading capacity-building initiatives at the organizational, systems, and regional levels, coupled with his experience managing cross-functional operations and development projects, has enabled institutions to launch their strategic priorities and prioritize Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) across policies, systems, practices, and programs.
As a DEI director in San Mateo County’s Office of Sustainability, Gregg led the County’s GARE training initiative that ensured organizational culture, policy development, and programming incorporated diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies.
As Senior Advisor in Policy and Programs for Redwood City 2020, Gregg spearheaded County-wide assessment and capacity-building to improve program infrastructure across collaboratives. This endeavor enabled the Sequoia Unified High School District, San Mateo County’s Behavior Health and Recovery Services, and the City of Redwood City to partner more effectively on system-wide efforts to identify and mitigate structural and social determinants of health.
Working with Libertiva, Gregg facilitates affinity groups centered on Black, African American, and BIPOC employees and the Foundational Equity Series professional development series.
Gregg received a Master’s Degree in Sociology and Education from Teachers College, Columbia University and a Bachelor of Art’s from the University of California, Berkeley.
